Almost Done

Tonight my truck is parked in my Grandmother's garage because it is full of school stuff.  I don't yet have room to put it at my house nor do I have a garage to keep it safe in soooo. . . .it is visiting Gmom!  I still have one filing cabinet, 3 empty boxes, 5 project boards, a broom, a brush/dustpan, a hippo and a lion left in my room.  I hope to get the rest out on Friday and get my key turned in on Monday and then I can say that it is finished and be on to something new and exciting.  I'm not gonna lie, it has been very hard knowing that I'm not going to see my kiddos next year and I won't get to see the other teachers every day.  I am going to miss it.  And with that being said, I have got to get to bed.  I am pooped!!

Whats On the Menu

I am going to try to get back into the posting our menu routine.  This week will look like a kids menu but it just happens to be what both of us wanted!!

Monday:  fish sticks and tatortots
Tuesday:  chili dogs and macaroni salad
Wednesday: fend for yourself
Thursday:  leftovers from Tuesday
Friday:  out to eat with Dadd
Saturday:  fend for yourself

See, I told you it wasn't very exciting!!

Hope you are having a great week.  I have teacher workday tomorrow which will include a luncheon with my co-workers and cleaning out my room.  Cleaning out my room is probably going to take forever!  Maybe I will take some pictures to show you what a mess I am going to have!!!

It Is Finished!

Today marked the very last day of my very first year of teaching school.  Oh, and the beginning of once again being unemployed.  The past nine months have been such a crazy roller coaster ride.  I love teaching and I will miss my kiddos from this year so much.  We had a very difficult year but we all made it through and most of us with a smile on our face. . . .but for me it included tears in my eyes and many questions about what the future holds.  Now I have to finish report cards and pack up my classroom and then try to figure out where in the world I am going to put all of the stuff I have accumulated over the past months and all the stuff I got from my very good friend that has been hanging out in my extra bedroom since last summer (because we are turning the room back into a guest room).  And I have got to get my feet back under me, finish filling out job applications (again).  Unfortunately, now is NOT the time to be looking for a teaching job in the great state of Texas so a prayer or two or 5 million would be greatly appreciated for a new teaching job (where I can stay possibly forever!).

I want children so much.  Tonight we went to dinner and the cutest little girl was at the table next to us.  She was probably nine to ten months old.  I wanted her the entire time we were there.  She had such a cute personality and smile.  Mr. Giggles and my Dad enjoyed watching her also.

Well, that is all for tonight.  I am tired and I really don't have anything else to say.

more days of school!!  I am getting excited about the end of the year but sad at the same time but more on that later!  Gotta get some work done.

Day After Mother's Day

I hope you all had a very happy mother's day.  We took my mother-in-law out to lunch at Cotton Patch.  We forgot her gift so we took it to her after church last night.  I also took flowers to the cemetary for my Mom.  I hate that I have to do that.  Not having my Mom and wanting to be a mom since 2001 really makes me dislike Mother's Day.  I wish I could sleep right through it.  My little sister always sends me the nicest mother's day cards and I really appreciate the fact that she always remembers me and she always remembers our little guys birthday.

And there are only eight days of school left and one day at the swimming pool.  I am really looking forward to the end of school for a lot of reasons.  And now for another picture or two because I have got to get some things done.

This Week

This week was supposed to be really good since it is Teacher's Appreciation Week but. . . . . . . in short it has sucked.  I really don't feel like discussing it right now but you will find out about it later.  Even though this week has been horrid I have seen some beautiful scenery on the way to work.  This was yesterday.  I hope your week has been better than mine and that you have a relaxing weekend planned.  I plan on celebrating LEH's birthday!  And getting some much needed sleep.

Saturday Fun

What do you get when you take your camera, hubby, Dad, nephew, niece and yourself to Cabellas for several hours?  Lots of pictures that make you pretend that you are on a hunt in the forest or on a safari or at the river fishing!  This is what we did Saturday.  My nephew and niece REALLY liked using my new camera.  I think they have taken almost as many pictures as I have!!  Here are some of the beautiful animals we saw!

There are only 16 more days of school.  I can't believe my first year of teaching is almost over.  I can say that it hasn't been smooth sailing by any means but I do know that this is the job that I am supposed to be doing.  I am excited about the summer though!  Tomorrow is field day and although it is going to be a lot of fun it is going to be super warm.  The high today was 90 so there will be lots of sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and lots of water!!
