Devastation

Last night when we got home from church I started seeing things of facebook about an explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas.  I didn’t really understand the devastation of what happened until this morning and pictures began showing on the news and the internet.  The shock of the explosion measured as a 2.1 magnitude on the Richter scale.  Within a 3000 foot radius there was a high school, middle school, nursing home, hospital and right outside of that radius is IH 35.  Apparently a fire started in the plant around 6:30 or so and while firefighters were on the scene fighting the fire, the plant exploded sending up a mushroom cloud like from a nuclear blast.  There were homes that were leveled, the nursing home roof collapsed, and the schools damaged.  As of right now there is still no confirmed number of people killed and but they do know that there are many injured.  About 1 this morning Texas Task Force 1 was sent to the scene by the governor and Texas A&M University’s Veterinary Emergency team has also been sent.  Please pray for those who have been affected by this tragedy and for those dealing with the Boston tragedy.
