Prayers

Sometimes I wonder why I blog stalk like I do because I usually end up finding blogs that just break my heart.  Like the blog I came across a week or so ago that is written by a Mom of three whose husband died from unknown heart problems last November while she was pregnant with their third child.  Or the couple whose blog I found this morning who dropped off their 4 month old happy healthy baby at the babysitters house only to have to rush to the hospital to be told that their princess had died.  And a year to the day of them finding out that they were expecting, they are laying their daughter to rest.  Something no parent should have to do.  I wonder if this is God's subtle hint (or not so subtle) to me that although my life is not how I had planned it, that it is his plan and he knows what is best us.  Then I wonder, what can I do for these people and all I can offer my prayers for peace and comfort for these families.  And I can ask that my bloggy friends lift these people up in prayer also.  So if you are so inclined, please pray for these people the King family and the Staats family.  Take a minute and hug your husband, your wife, your kids and tell them how much you love them.  I heard this on Extreme Makeover yesterday and thought it was wonderful.  Family is what you have at the end of the day.  And I am so thankful for the one I have.  Although we don't always get along, I wouldn't trade them for the world.

Have a great day friends.

Wow! Sometimes I feel like I can "only pray", but that is the best thing I can offer...thank you for sharing these precious families.

Hope you're doing well, and have a great rest of your week!

You know I can really relate to this. Sometimes I feel like I'm carrying a burden, but then I stumble upon a blog with stories like what you just shared and then I realize my burden is no burden at all. I hate to gain perspective from someone else's suffering but hearing stories like this do that for me. I'm even more grateful for the blessings in my life. And, yes, prayer is the one thing we can do for those who are hurting and need comfort. Thank you for sharing this!
